WYSA VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS GUIDE

Westerly Youth Soccer Association

Thank you for volunteering! All coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, and volunteers working with players must complete the following requirements before participating:

✓ SafeSport Training
✓ CDC Heads Up Concussion Training
✓ Background Check

STEP 1 – LOG INTO GOTSPORT

1. Visit: https://system.gotsport.com
2. Log in using the email address you used to register.
3. Select Dashboard.
4. Locate the Requirements section.

You should see:
• SafeSport
• Heads Up Concussion Training
• Background Check

Click Details next to any requirement to begin.

STEP 2 – COMPLETE SAFESPORT TRAINING

1. Click Details next to SafeSport.
2. Select Start Course.
3. Complete the required training.
4. Once completed, your status should update automatically.

Estimated Time: 60–90 minutes for first-time users.

STEP 3 – COMPLETE HEADS UP CONCUSSION TRAINING

1. Return to your Dashboard.
2. Click Details next to Heads Up Concussion Training.
3. Follow the training link.
4. Complete the course.

Estimated Time: 20–30 minutes.

STEP 4 – COMPLETE YOUR BACKGROUND CHECK

1. Return to your Dashboard.
2. Click Details next to Background Check.
3. Select Submit New Report.
4. Complete all requested information.
5. Review and electronically sign the required forms.
6. Submit your application.

Background checks may take several days to process.

HOW DO I KNOW I'M FINISHED?

Your Dashboard should show:

✓ SafeSport – Fulfilled
✓ Heads Up Concussion Training – Fulfilled
✓ Background Check – Fulfilled
